BNY Mellon Wealth Management and Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP invite you to join us for a luncheon discussion with guest speaker, Betsy Berkhemer-Credaire, CEO of the public awareness campaign, “2020 Women on Boards." For seven years, Betsy was the prime mover behind the effort to pass the recent California legislation which requires all publicly held companies based in the state to have a minimum of one woman on their boards of directors by the end of 2019 with increasing numbers in subsequent years. Betsy will share the saga of getting this initiative passed and will speak about how senior level women can seek public corporate board positions --184 seats by year-end 2019 and more than 1,000 seats by year-end 2021. With more than 20 years of experience in the executive search industry, Betsy is an expert in the talent space and the author of the book “The Board Game - How Smart Women Become Corporate Directors.”
